Barbara Lang has presented dozens of fun and informative seminars, offering students insight into dining and business etiquette as well as traditional, professional, and contemporary protocol. Audiences develop an understanding on how personal messages can be most persuasively conveyed while avoiding unintentional "off message" impressions.

• Lang believes you don't always need to follow the rules, but you at least need to know the rules to successfully get along with people. Her signature approach - using humor through personal storytelling - illustrates how focusing on other people is key to developing personal confidence. Lang offers specific strategies that help people land back on their feet with grace and resiliency, despite any social stumbling.

• Presentations are customize to specifically address an audience's interest. Topics presented range from dining/business etiquette and dressing for success to networking and interviewing skills.

• A company spokesperson and culinary director for 10 years at a Napa Valley winery, and was affectionately described as a mixture of "Betty Crocker & Bette Midler", hosting hundreds of special events nationwide. A faculty member at Cornell's School of Hotel Administration for 18 years, Lang has recently found her new niche in advising - coaching students in creating career strategies by identifying their unique abilities while developing and conveying their personal voices through personal interactions, resume writing and interviewing skills.
